How to make cinnamon rice milk
This delicious rice milk recipe is a breeze. It only takes a few steps and when it’s done, it offers incredible versatility. Use it overnight in oatmeal, granola, your favorite coffee drinks, and smoothies. You can also double the recipe if you want additional information available for the week ahead.
To do this, pour boiling water over rice and a stick of cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl. Cover the bowl and let the mixture soak for a few hours. Then transfer the contents of the bowl to a blender along with vanilla extract. Mix until the rice and cinnamon appear finely ground. Pour this mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a half-gallon sized jug.
Finally, put the sieved residue with milk (or alternative milk for a dairy-free treatment) and maple syrup back into the mixer. Mix until well mixed and pour the milk through the sieve into the jug. Chill the jug until it is cold and ready to drink.
- 1/2 Cup long grain brown rice uncooked
- 3/4 Cup boiling water
- 1 Cinnamon stick about 2 inches
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups milk We used low-fat milk … Alternatives: whole milk, soy or almond milk
- 1/4 Cup 100% pure maple syrup

Put rice and cinnamon stick in a medium-sized bowl, pour hot water over it, cover and let soak for 2-3 hours. Put rice in a blender along with water, cinnamon stick and vanilla and mix until rice and cinnamon are finely ground. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a one-half gallon jug.

Add any residue in the colander back to the blender, add milk and maple syrup, mix until combined. Pour milk into the jug through the sieve. Discard leftovers. Chill until you drink.

Pour milk over ice and enjoy!
