Don’t get us wrong: We loved the high-carb pork chops of our youth. Nowadays we are much more health conscious. If you’re looking for a tasty new dinner option that is waist-friendly too, this is the recipe for you!
This dish is packed with delicious antioxidants and flavors!
One of the main ingredients in this recipe is blackberries. This antioxidant-rich fruit is as beneficial to your health as it is to your taste buds. Blackberries are loaded with vitamin C, potassium, and fiber, all of which are essential to your health. They’re also cholesterol-free, sodium-free, and fat-free! So they contribute a whole range of nutrients and give the sauce a sweet and fruity taste.
The blackberries aren’t the only flavorful ingredient in this recipe. Fresh ginger gives the sauce a dash of earthy flavor and offers benefits for your immune system. It is rich in antioxidants and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects on your body.

- 1 Cup Blackberries
- 1 tablespoon ginger fresh, grated
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 Cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 lemon juiced and peeled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4th Pork chops Middle cut
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

In a small saucepan, heat the blackberries, ginger, honey, water, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice and lemon zest over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently. Put aside.

While the sauce is cooking, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with granulated garlic and pepper and sauté in the pan for 5 minutes on each side.

Reduce heat, add broth and cover to finish cooking, about 10-15 minutes. After 7-8 minutes, check that the chops are cooked through but not overcooked. The internal temperature should be at least 30 ° C. Plate and drizzle with blackberry and ginger sauce.
