5 DIY Summer Glow Skin Masks
1. Golden glow
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon milk
Turmeric is unusually a great component for your skin because of its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. In combination with honey and milk, the mask serves both as a moisturizer and as a peeling. Combine turmeric and honey, then add milk until the mixture is a thick paste that can be applied to your face.
2. Night brightener
Ingredients: 1 tbsp tomato juice and 2 tbsp coconut milk
I bet you never thought that tomato juice could do wonders for your skin. Well it can, and it does especially when combined with coconut milk. The fruit acid mixed with the lactic acid gives your skin a brightening and clarifying effect.
Apply up to 3 coats of the mixture and let each coat dry before applying the next. Leave the mask on overnight and rinse it off in the morning.
3. Tropical brightener
Ingredients: 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp coconut oil
Coconuts and lemons don’t just belong in your drinks. Prepare the island with this 2-ingredient face mask made from lemon juice and coconut oil. Both ingredients are usually used in the hair as a lightener or as a moisturizer.
Apply evenly to the face, then massage wherever there is discoloration. Leave on overnight and apply at least three times to see the first results.
4. Anti-inflammatory face mask
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt, 1 small egg white, 1/3 cup oatmeal, and 1/2 cup hot water
Have you ever had a day when your skin just didn’t want to play along and no amount of make-up could cover up all the redness and irritation? With this oatmeal mask, all your skin problems are over. Oatmeal cools your skin and suppresses inflammation.
Mix the oatmeal and water. Then add the remaining ingredients and apply to the face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse off to make your skin glow!
5. Sweet, sweet glow
Ingredients: 1/3 cup dark cocoa powder, 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons whipped cream, 2 tablespoons oatmeal powder
If you have a big sweet tooth, this next face mask could be a problem. Who would have thought that chocolate could really work wonders for your skin? Believe it or not, chocolate actually has a ton of antioxidants and prevents cell damage. The best ingredients of all previous masks are combined in this mask to form a chocolate paste that you can apply to your face for 15 minutes. When you’re done, just wash it off with lukewarm water.
